Maine Clean Elections

On November 3, 2015 Mainers voted to restore Clean Elections and to reduce the influence of money in politics in a landslide victory.
Public funding allows everyday Maine citizens to run a credible campaign for office. Under the provisions of the law, Clean Election candidates are not allowed to accept campaign donations from Political Action Committees or corporations, only registered voters residing within the district may make donations. Contributions on behalf of the candidate are limited to $5 per individual.
Assuming the candidate can meet the threshold of individual contributions of 60 individual $5 donations, then he or she will then become eligible for matching funds from Clean Election Fund. This is a critical component of financing an election bid.
This is where your help now is absolutely necessary to make me competitive in upcoming election. I need to raise at least 60 of these $5 donations. Please consider donating today.
